Meals: Lunch & Dinner | Accommodation: Homestay Xin chao! Your adventure will begin early today at 7:30 AM. Our guide will meet you at your hotel, and after a quick briefing about the trip, you will travel by private vehicle to Cao Bang City and then to Tra Linh district. The journey will take approximately 7 hours. Despite the long travel time, the ride will be comfortable thanks to well-maintained roads, and we will have short breaks on the way to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Trekking in Cao Bang

After having our lunch at a local restaurant, we will arrive at Tra Linh in the afternoon and take a leisurely stroll around the scenic and peaceful surroundings. You will also get a chance to experience the beauty of Thang Hen Lake and go for a Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) ride to end the day on a refreshing note. Dinner and night at a local homestay.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner | Accommodation: Homestay After having breakfast at homestay, we will take a walk to the grassland of Nui Mat Than Valley, which is a popular attraction near our homestay. You can breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the picturesque scenery of the unique limestone formations and local waterfalls.

Trekking in Cao Bang

Later, we will board our vehicle again and head up along the border belt to the remote parts of this province. Along the way, we will explore the gorgeous landscapes of Cao Bang and visit rustic traditional villages of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups. We will have our picnic lunch somewhere en route, where we can sit among nature, with farming cattle, and meet some locals. Today, we won't travel a long distance and will save some time to cycle around the destination. Phong Nam is an exotic spot ideal for enjoying the rice paddies with mountains surrounding and rivers flowing within. We will spend another night in a local homestay.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner | Accommodation: Homestay We will embark on a long trek in the morning, starting from our local home. We will walk through valleys of lush and green until we reach the other side of the village. From there, we will join the vehicle and travel upstream of Quay Son River to reach the land of rice paddies and picturesque countryside.

Trekking in Cao Bang

After lunch, we will have two hours to enjoy the water of Quay Son River and do SUP. Later in the afternoon, we will pay a visit to Ban Gioc waterfall. Situated on the edge of Vietnam’s border with China, this waterfall is graded by three layers, with a height of 53 meters and a width of 300 meters, offering picturesque scenery. We will then check into a rustic homestay in the Rock Village. This village is unique in that it is home to ancient houses built by rock of Tay people. We will spend the night in a local homestay.

Note: The rainy season in Cao Bang is from June to September and the dry season is from October to May which may affect the scenery of Ban Gioc waterfall. The best moment to visit the waterfall is from August to September.

We will start our day by heading to Ha Lang, which is another district of Cao Bang province. This district is unique because three sides of it border China. The topography of this land is rich with high mountains, deep valleys, and many magnificent caves. It has been the home of ethnic Tay and Nung for a long time, and it features a rich culture and customs.

The highlight of the day will be trekking up to Ha Lang's grassland, a terrain that you cannot find elsewhere. Up there, you will be captivated by the breathtaking view and be invigorated by the fresh air. Afterward, we will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before heading back to Hanoi. We expect to arrive in Hanoi around 5 PM, marking the end of a truly remarkable journey.
