Depart from Hanoi and travel to Thong Nguyen commune in Hoang Su Phi district by private transfer. The six-hour journey will take you through diverse landscapes, from the Red River Delta to the midland of Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang. Along the way, you will be treated to spectacular views of rice fields, villages, and hills alongside the Lo River.
Once you reach Thong Nguyen, let's take a lunch break, rest our legs, and prepare for a breathtaking trek to Nam Nghi village, a small hamlet in the mountainside populated by the Man Ta Pan (Red Dao ethnic minority group). Follow the trail to Nam Hong village and experience the beauty of the trek, which will surely excite the adventurous traveler in you.
Tonight, you will be hosted by a family of the Man Ta Pan ethnic group, one of the Bách Việt (bǎi yuè) groups in South China and Vietnam. The Man Ta Pan community is a shining example of unity and openness, and they will welcome you with open arms. With their warmth and inclusivity, they will make you feel like a part of their family, as the concept of human life holds significant value to them.
Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by your hosts and settle in for an overnight stay at your authentic homestay.

After breakfast, you will embark on a journey through the picturesque rice terraces of Nam Khoa village, home to the Man Ta Pan ethnic group. As you walk, be prepared to be mesmerized by the stunning views of the rice terraces. You will also have the opportunity to gain insight into the daily lives of the locals and meet both the Man Ta Pan and Long Tunics Dao.
At Nam Ai, you will encounter an ancient tea plant, more than 100 years old, known for its white-haired buds, producing the renowned shan tea of Vietnam. You'll enjoy lunch with a family of the Man Ta Pan ethnic group and spend the night at a homestay with a Long-tunics Dzao family.

Today, you have the incredible opportunity to explore Nam Son commune, renowned for its steep terrain and 242 hectares of breathtaking terraced fields. The sheer beauty of these fields will undoubtedly leave you in awe and appreciation.
Afterwards, you will venture out of town by crossing a small suspension bridge, a typical feature of the high mountainous areas in Vietnam. As you ascend the mountainside to reach the Hmong village, you'll be greeted by a truly enchanting experience.
Along the winding trails, you will observe the daily life and hard work of the local people, particularly the Dzao, Nung, and Flower Hmong groups. This fascinating insight will inspire deep respect for their rich culture and traditions.
Your overnight stay at a Nung or Ta Pan ethnic minority house will add an immersive touch to your journey.

Today, you are in for an incredible adventure! Get ready to embark on a 5 to 6-hour hike to Suoi Thau, a village inhabited by the Long Tunics Dao ethnic group, nestled amidst the magnificent terraced rice fields of Hoang Su Phi.
On this journey, you will traverse a breathtaking natural landscape, crossing a stream, encountering a waterfall, and passing through bamboo forests. As you arrive at the Ban Luoc Heaven Gate, be prepared to be captivated by the awe-inspiring beauty of the rice terraces, a sight that will truly immerse you in the wonders of the natural world.
This is another opportunity to enhance your experience with the Man Ta Pan and Long Tunics Dzao groups during lunch en route and overnight in your homestay in Suoi Thau.

After a hearty breakfast and bidding farewell to our gracious host, you'll embark on a 2-hour trek through the captivating terraced fields to Ban Luoc. Nestled in the heart of the Hoang Su Phi national scenic spot, this commune is renowned for its unparalleled beauty, boasting the most stunning terraced fields in Ha Giang. Stretching over 160 hectares, these fields weave through indigenous villages, cascade down the hillsides, and sprawl across the mountainsides, creating a breathtaking panorama.
As you bid adieu to Ban Luoc, your journey continues with the comfort of knowing that your driver is waiting to escort you to your next destination in Ha Giang or back to Hanoi.
