Day 1: Hanoi - Lam Thuong, 260 km ~ 5 hours
Meal: lunch, dinner | Accommodation: Shared house-on-stiltsDeparting early in the morning from Hanoi, a tour guide and a car will pick you up from your hotel at 7.00 a.m. and we will depart for Lam Thuong, Luc Yen, Yen Bai.Arriving at Tan Linh commune roundly at 11.00 a.m. and have lunch in a traditional house-on-stilt of a three-generation Tay family. Enjoy a local meal and have a chat with the family. In the afternoon, you will go through a vast valley to transfer to Lam Thuong commune. Possible to stop and visit a small farm on the way to harvest oranges and drink a cup of tea with a local family. Arrive in Kheo Leng village at around 4.00 p.m. You will be warmly welcomed by a Tay family - the owners of our first accommodation. This is a traditional house-on-stilt built since 1980 and bearing the marks of time, currently, is home to this three-generation family. If the weather permits, you can walk around the village to enjoy the crisp air in the Vietnamese mountainous area or explore the nearby cave.The dinner is prepared by the owner's family with fresh local ingredients. This is an opportunity for you to savor diverse and nutritious dishes with the signature flavors of Northwestern Vietnamese cuisine. Overnight at homestay.Option: Private room at a small ecolodge

Day 2: Lam Thuong, Kheo Leng village, and Nam Chan waterfall

Nam Chan Waterfalls in Lam Thuong
Wake up with a cup of herbal tea to keep your body warm and enjoy the fresh and pure air of this land!After breakfast, we will embark on a journey to explore the unspoiled nature here. Our host, who is also an experienced local guide, will accompany you in trekking through palm and bamboo forests and introduce the ancient Muoi Moc Tree standing for centuries in the heart of the deep forest. Trekking into the deep forest is a chance for you to connect with and absorb the energy from Mother Nature, soothing your mind and interconnecting with yourself.Continue the journey and stop at Nam Chan waterfall around noon. After a long trek, you will be rewarded by soaring your body in the refreshing water of this majestic waterfall, regarded as the heart of this land. Picnic lunch will be prepared by our local guide right by the waterfall. Resting for a while, we will proceed to the second accommodation in Nam Chan village. This is also a Tay traditional house-on-stilt where you may feel a cozy family atmosphere, as well as completely embrace the local pace of life. Day 3: Lam Thuong - Luc Yen gemstone market - Hanoi, 260 km ~ 5 hours
Meal: breakfast, lunch | Accommodation: Not anyThe last day of the trip on the land of Tay people, after breakfast, farewell to your host family then depart to the gemstone market in Luc Yen. Your local tour guide today is also a gemstone craftsman, he will guide you to discover the story of the market such as the origin of this special wet market, where the stones are exploited and also the benefit of the gemstone to the human body. You will visit a small jewelry shop and learn about their techniques.
