Cat Tien National Park is one of the very few places in Vietnam where travelers have a chance to see all kinds of wildlife in nature, thanks to the herculean efforts of Vietnamese and international preservers through recent decades.

After a 3-hour drive, you will arrive at the park entrance and then step into the wilderness after crossing the Dong Nai River by boat. Then, you will check in at the accommodation, which is a standard national park room. Staying there is convenient for you to join various activities and more; it’s a way to contribute to the park's conservation efforts.You will have lunch at a restaurant in the park (not included in the tour price). Then, after the 3-hour journey away from the bustling city, it's time to rest and prepare for your encounters with the wild.In the afternoon, you will meet a local guide who is also a park ranger. To start, you will visit the Nature Museum, which preserves and showcases the biodiversity of Cat Tien National Park, and the Botanical Garden, home to over 300 plant species from the southeastern corridor of Vietnam. Nearby, you can find majestic redwood and hardwood trees, valued for their beauty and rarity.
After that, under the shady canopies, you will embark on a 16 km (one-way) bike ride* and a 600m walk to reach the end point of this journey - a 400-year-old Ficus Benjamina Tree growing by a crystal-clear stream.*If you prefer not to cycle, the guide can arrange a car transfer with a surcharge.Few travelers frequent this area, so you can take the chance to immerse yourself in this serene stream and enjoy the tranquil surroundings!You will return to the park centre in the late afternoon, rest, and enjoy dinner. After dinner, a special experience awaits you: “night safari” to observe the nightlife of animals in the park. You will board an open-top truck and join a park ranger who will use a torch to help you see nocturnal inhabitants as they forage, including sambar deer, wild pigs, porcupines, gaur, weasels, civet cats, barking deer, mongoose, and nightjars. This rare opportunity allows you to witness wildlife up close! Though the car runs slowly and the tour guide is very knowledgeable about nature, sightings are not guaranteed, as nature can be unpredictable. *Should you wish to partake in this exceptional tour, kindly inquire for further details.
After that, your guide will take you to Bear and Wild Cat Rescue Station to give you a deep insight into the fauna, including leopards, crocodiles, gibbons, langurs, and peafowl.Then, you will take a walk to the rainforest through the shaded paths. Along the way, you will have an opportunity to observe various species of insects, birds, and other animals, and don’t forget to bring a binocular if you have one! On the way, you will have rest time at the impressive ancient Tung tree before looping back to the park center.
After checking out, you will have lunch and bid farewell to the park ranger before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. The journey is expected to conclude at 5 pm - end of services.Note: Instead of returning to Saigon, you can combine this tour with a beach extension in Lagi or Hoa Thang, on the outskirts of Mui Ne, to enjoy the beach at your own leisure.
