DAY 0: Hanoi - Sapa, by sleeping bus
Depart from Hanoi at 10pm by sleeping bus, arrive in Sapa at around 6am. The bus will drop you off at Sapa town, time for breakfast and a cup of coffee at a local restaurant while waiting for the tour to start.

DAY 1: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Sin Chai, 16km trek
Meals: lunch, dinner | Accommodation: Homestay in Lao Chai
Meet your local ethnic tour guide and depart from Sapa at 8.30am and walk down to Y Linh Ho, a village of the Hmong minority. The hereditary terraces are around 100 years old. From Y Linh Ho, we will make our way to Lao Chai, an established Hmong village where we will be welcomed by May and her family who run the first homestay owned by Hmong in the Sapa region.

DAY 2: Lao Chai - Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai, 12km trek
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner | Accommodation: Hotel in Sapa town
On the morning of the second day open the window and have a look outside — you will be treated to views across the rice terraces.
Explore trekking routes & admire the lush greenery of Ta Van Valley, Sapa
After breakfast, we walk to Ta Van where you will visit the Giay minority people. Traditionally the Giay were fishermen who fished with bamboo sticks and cook their catch inside the bamboo. Now you are more likely to see the Giay working in fields planting or harvesting rice but their villages are still near rivers.
Continue to walk through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, have a scenic picnic lunch, then walk to the main road and catch the private car back to Sapa Town!

DAY 3: Sapa - Lung Khau Nhin border market - Sapa, bus to Hanoi

To make the most of the day, we should depart at 7AM for a drive about 1h45m from Sapa or 1 hour from Lao Cai toward Muong Khuong. Lung Khau Nhin, a small market located close to the China border, not far from Muong Khuong town is the place where the minority peoples gather every Thursday to exchange goods and culture.
Experience local market in Sapa
Similar to all ethnic markets in this area, Lung Khau Nhin market starts from very early in the morning and is held until the early afternoon.
Thanks to its remote location, the market is still very authentic with few tourists visiting. Once getting in the market, our guide will take you around and explain to you about different ethnic groups by their outfit. The market day is alway the day they dress up the most, you will meet Black Dao, Giay, Tay, Flower Hmong (Red Hmong) in Lung Khau Nhin.
Lunch at an eatery in the market or a local restaurant. On the way back to Lao Cai, we will stop in Muong Khung town to visit pineapple and tea plantations. Reach Lao Cai at 14h30, get on the bus to Hanoi, arrive in Hanoi at around 7h30.
